ToggleGoogle has officially announced that Android 16 is scheduled for release in June 2025, arriving sooner than many had predicted. This exciting news has certainly piqued the interest of Samsung Galaxy smartphone users, who are now keen to learn about when they will receive the latest updates featuring Samsung’s custom interface, One UI 8. Fortunately, there is now some clarity on this matter.
In a recent video on the Android YouTube channel, Minseok Kang, who serves as the Vice President and Head of Smartphone Planning at Samsung Electronics, provided an eagerly awaited update. He confirmed that One UI 8 is set to begin rolling out “this summer.”
While the term ‘summer’ encompasses a wide time frame from June to September, this announcement gives users something to look forward to as it indicates Samsung’s plans to deploy its next significant update sooner rather than later.
