ToggleThe London-based smartphone innovator, Nothing, has officially announced the arrival of the CMF Phone 2 Pro. This device marks the second installment in the CMF lineup by Nothing and is anticipated to showcase the distinct CMF customizable design along with an array of striking color choices. Although the company has yet to disclose considerable information regarding the CMF Phone 2 Pro, we have summarized the preliminary leaks and rumors surrounding its release date, pricing, specifications, and additional insights.
In a recent press communication, Nothing confirmed that the CMF Phone 2 Pro will officially be available in India starting April 28, 2023, at 6.30 PM IST. During this launch event, the company will also unveil the CMF Buds 2, Buds 2A, and Buds 2 Plus in the Indian market.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is expected to feature a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with an impressive 120Hz refresh rate, providing smooth visuals and excellent color reproduction. At its core, the device is rumored to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, offering a significant performance boost. Users can expect to see configurations with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of storage using UFS 2.2 technology. It is also confirmed to run on the latest Android 15, customized with Nothing OS 3.1. In terms of durability, the device might come with an IP64 rating, which is beneficial against dust and water exposure, alongside Essential Key support for enhanced usability. A robust 5,000 mAh battery is anticipated to be included, alongside the device’s support for 50W fast charging, ensuring quick power-ups.
Additionally, it has been reported that the teaser includes a triple-circle graphic, suggesting a triple-camera configuration. Given that this is a ‘Pro’ variant, it may indeed incorporate a telephoto lens alongside its primary sensors. Initial leaks hint towards the device being equipped with a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom capabilities. The front-facing camera is rumored to be a powerful 32MP shooter, catering to both selfies and video calls.
Pricing for the CMF Phone 2 Pro is expected to be set below Rs 22,000. To provide some perspective, the CMF Phone 1 made its debut with a price tag of Rs 14,999, so this new iteration might offer enhanced features at a competitive price.
However, it is essential to note that Nothing has not yet confirmed any of the specifications or pricing information mentioned above, and all current insights are derived from early leaks and speculation. Therefore, readers are encouraged to approach these updates with cautious optimism.
