Recent reports indicate that Samsung has put a stop to the One UI 7 rollout for the Galaxy S24 series following numerous complaints from users about a significant bug. Initially, the update was launched in South Korea and was subsequently made available to users in countries such as India, the US, and Canada in a staggered manner. However, due to alarming reports emerging from South Korea about serious unlocking issues faced by users post-update, Samsung has decided to suspend the broader rollout temporarily.

Reports from social media and insights from well-known tipster Ice Universe reveal that several users of the Galaxy S24 series are struggling with unlocking their devices under certain conditions after applying the One UI 7 update. The reports underline that this bug impacts a crucial functionality of the device, prompting Samsung to prioritize a halt to the update’s wider distribution.

When will the One UI 7 update be available in India?

In an intriguing turn of events, Samsung has yet to disclose when users can expect the One UI 7 update for older smartphone models in India. Sources suggest that the company is currently evaluating the firmware to rectify the identified issues and avert potential disruptions. This development means that users outside of South Korea will face delays in receiving the update.

For more context, it’s worth mentioning that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 series have not reported any similar unlocking issues following the update, indicating that the problem may indeed be confined to the Galaxy S24 lineup. Until further notice is issued, it’s advisable for users who have received the One UI 7 update to refrain from installing the update and keep their current software version active while awaiting future releases from Samsung.

On a personal note, after updating our Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to One UI 7, we have not experienced any unlocking issues whatsoever.
