ToggleBased in London, smartphone innovator Nothing is gearing up to launch its next flagship, the Nothing Phone 3a. The company has announced the “Nothing Phone 3a Series” on Flipkart, hinting at a potential release on March 4. The term “Series” suggests that both the Phone 3a and Phone 3a Plus could debut on the same day. Recent leaks have also implied that the March 4 event will feature more than a single smartphone.
While details about the Nothing Phone 3a Plus remain scarce, rumors indicate that the Phone 3a may come with several notable enhancements compared to its predecessor. The features being speculated for the Phone 3a provide some insight into what we might expect from the Phone 3a Plus.
One of the most anticipated upgrades in the Phone 3a is its display. This model is likely to feature a sizable 6.8-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, making it the largest display among any of the existing Nothing smartphones. On the performance side, a migration to a new Qualcomm chipset is expected, moving away from the MediaTek Dimensity processor that powered the previous Phone 2a model. Camera enhancements are also on the horizon.
The Nothing Phone 3a is rumored to come equipped with a vibrant 6.8-inch OLED display, offering users an impressive refresh rate of 120Hz. This size marks a significant increase, establishing it as the largest screen on any Nothing device released to date. Under the hood, the phone is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, operating seamlessly with Nothing OS 3.1, which is based on the upcoming Android 15.
Regarding the camera system, the Nothing Phone 3a is anticipated to host a 50-megapixel primary rear camera, complemented by a 50-megapixel telephoto lens that provides 2x optical zoom. Notably, this will be the first instance of a telephoto lens in a Nothing smartphone lineup. However, it’s worth mentioning that this addition does come at the expense of a downgraded ultra-wide camera, now expected to feature an 8-megapixel sensor. On the front, it is expected to sport a robust 32-megapixel selfie camera.
When it comes to battery life, the Nothing Phone 3a is said to house a substantial 5,000mAh battery, supporting 45W wired charging—similar to the functionality found in the Nothing Phone 2a.
As for pricing, while specific details remain elusive, analysts speculate that it will likely be launched at a competitive point, possibly under Rs 25,000, consistent with the pricing strategy of the Nothing Phone 2a.
