Infinix is set to unveil an innovative smartphone in India featuring an unprecedented scent technology. This device, known as the Infinix Note 50s 5G+, is crafted to release a subtle fragrance from its rear panel, marking a groundbreaking advancement for the smartphone industry. Expected to launch later this month, the Note 50s 5G+ will join the company’s well-regarded Note series. In a recent exclusive interview with Times Now Tech and Digit, Anish Kapoor, CEO of Infinix India, detailed this unique technology and provided a first look at the device in the attractive Marine Drift Blue color variant.

“Innovation is at the core of what we do. One of our latest offerings is the Energizing Scent-Tech,” Anish explained, highlighting that the phone not only boasts an aesthetically pleasing design but also emits a delightful aroma. He confirmed that the Infinix Note 50s will officially launch in India on April 18. While three different color options will be available, it’s essential to note that only the Marine variant, which features a vegan leather finish, will incorporate the scent technology.

When prompted about the rationale behind introducing this novel form of technology, Anish mentioned that consumers often do not realize their desires until they experience them. “Everyone loves an appealing scent. If we can offer something that not only captivates the eyes but also delights the nose, why wouldn’t we?” he remarked, indicating the broader appeal of such sensory experiences.

While the exact price of the Infinix Note 50s 5G+ has not been disclosed, Anish hinted that it would retail for under Rs 20,000 in the Indian market. The complete pricing details will be unveiled on the launch day, adding to the anticipation surrounding this innovative smartphone.

Understanding the Energizing Scent-Tech on Infinix Note 50s 5G+

The Energizing Scent-Tech showcased in the Infinix Note 50s 5G+ (specifically the Marine Drift Blue variant) employs Advanced Microencapsulation Technology. This sophisticated process involves encapsulating fragrance molecules within tiny microcapsules. These capsules are embedded in the device’s vegan leather back, allowing it to gradually emit a subtle and refreshing scent over time.

According to Infinix, the released aroma is intended to be long-lasting yet gentle, although its strength and duration may fluctuate based on factors such as phone usage and environmental conditions, including temperature and humidity. The company assures that the fragrance is designed to last approximately six months under typical usage.

As of now, the experience of the scent is temporary, and there is currently no method to enhance or prolong the lifespan of the fragrance after it begins to dissipate.
