The iOS 18.4 update is set to introduce seven new emojis. Among these will be an array of facial expressions and objects including a tired face featuring visible bags under the eyes, a fingerprint, a bare tree, a root vegetable, a harp, a shovel, and a splatter emoji, enhancing the ways users can express themselves in digital conversations.
Among the many enhancements, the Priority Notifications feature will be a game-changer, as it will highlight the most crucial alerts directly on the user’s lock screen. This functionality is designed to ensure that users do not miss important updates by automatically culling essential notifications into a specialized section. Users will still have access to all notifications by swiping up, maintaining a balance between priority alerts and the full notification set.
Additionally, the forthcoming update will introduce a specialized News+ Food feature within the Apple News app. This feature will curate a selection of recipes sourced from top publishers, providing users with a wealth of culinary inspiration and education right at their fingertips, thus enhancing the overall content available for food enthusiasts within the app.
