This year’s event has generated considerable excitement, particularly regarding a major redesign of Apple’s operating systems, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and others. Reports suggest that these upcoming updates will introduce the most substantial design modifications since the debut of iOS 7.

However, if you’re hoping for substantial enhancements to Siri, Apple’s voice assistant, you may be left feeling unsatisfied. A recent report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman indicates that major changes to Siri are unlikely to take center stage during WWDC 2025. Although Apple has hinted at the incorporation of AI features into Siri, Gurman asserts that these updates are not yet ready to be unveiled.

According to Gurman, Apple’s software head, Craig Federighi, initially approached AI with caution, worried that it could distract from core product development. This hesitation has contributed to Siri’s slow evolution, causing Apple to lag behind its competitors like Google Assistant and ChatGPT.

On the other hand, Apple is reportedly developing a new version of Siri, leveraging advanced AI models, internally referred to as LLM Siri. Due to Siri’s current image, however, it’s likely that Apple will separate this project from its primary Apple Intelligence initiatives.
