Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge, a highly anticipated addition to its premium S series, which was initially previewed during the January Galaxy Unpacked event. The S25 Edge stands out with its remarkably sleek and lightweight design, measuring just 5.8mm in thickness and weighing 163 grams, making it the slimmest Galaxy S model to date.

The design features a sturdy titanium frame complemented by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, which Samsung asserts enhances durability compared to earlier models. Additionally, it comes with an IP68 rating, ensuring protection against dust and water damage.

However, this impressive design does present some trade-offs, including a relatively modest 3,900mAh battery. Samsung claims that users can achieve up to 55% charge in approximately 30 minutes with a 25W charger; however, it’s important to note that this charger is sold separately. The device also supports 15W wireless charging.
The Galaxy S25 Edge showcases a stunning 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, featuring a variable refresh rate of 1–120Hz as well as HDR10+ support. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and offers options for 12GB of RAM along with 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.

A significant enhancement in thermal management comes from a revamped vapour chamber inside the titanium frame, designed to effectively dissipate heat and manage the thermal constraints of its slim profile.

The camera system is robust, featuring a 200MP main camera with an f/1.7 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It includes a 12MP ultrawide lens capable of autofocus and macro photography, while a 12MP front-facing camera ensures high-quality selfies. The advanced camera technology leverages Samsung’s ProVisual Engine and AI enhancements, especially for low-light conditions and skin tone accuracy.
Running on Android 15 with One UI 7, the S25 Edge brings various AI capabilities matching those of the broader Galaxy S25 series, such as Audio Eraser and Drawing Assist. This model introduces multimodal assistance across applications and camera-based interactions using Google’s Gemini Live, alongside real-time contextual reminders through widgets like Now Brief and Now Bar. Notably, much of the AI processing occurs directly on-device, secured with Samsung Knox Vault.

Ultimately, the Galaxy S25 Edge balances a stunningly slim form with flagship pricing. This elegant device is undoubtedly a testament to Samsung’s engineering prowess, though its real-world performance under prolonged use or during intensive content creation will be a vital test that determines its success in the marketplace.

The Galaxy S25 Edge will be offered in three eye-catching colors: Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Icyblue. It is set to retail at a price of $1,099, with availability starting from May 23. Information regarding pricing and availability in India is anticipated soon, so keep an eye out for updates.
