ToggleEarlier this year, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S25 series in January, and among the devices presented was the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. Since that announcement, the tech community and Samsung enthusiasts alike have been eagerly waiting for more details about this cutting-edge smartphone. Although Samsung has maintained a level of secrecy regarding the specifics of the Galaxy S25 Edge, a steady stream of leaks and rumors has provided a wealth of information surrounding its launch timeline.
While the Galaxy S25 Edge was originally set to debut worldwide on April 15, recent developments have suggested a delay. Reports indicate that the phone is now expected to make its debut on May 13 at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked Event, as cited by FN News. Importantly, it appears that the initial rollout of the S25 Edge will be limited to South Korea and China. The launch is slated for May 13, with pre-orders commencing on May 14, and the official open sales set to start on May 23.
This exclusivity, however, is anticipated to be short-lived. It is believed that Samsung plans to expand the Galaxy S25 Edge’s release to the United States and other global markets by May 30. This implies that regions like India may also see the smartphone around that time, although Samsung has yet to confirm any specific details. The FN News report further elaborates that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be available in two storage options: 256 GB and 512 GB. Interestingly, customers who pre-order the device may have the opportunity to purchase the higher storage variant at the base model’s price.
When it comes to specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to deliver an impressive performance. It is rumored to sport a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display that provides a vibrant viewing experience with support for a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. Under the hood, it is anticipated that the device will be equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options that go up to 512GB. Interestingly, the S25 Edge might feature the smallest battery capacity among all the devices in the Galaxy S25 lineup.
On the photography front, reports have indicated that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will come equipped with a highly capable 200-megapixel main camera along with an additional ultrawide sensor. However, it appears that this model will not include a dedicated telephoto sensor, which has led to mixed opinions among photography enthusiasts.
